Hi, I’m Lewis.

I help freelance English teachers who lack confidence with emergent language go from capable to credible with a practical toolkit for confident, flexible lessons with less prep and more value for your learners and stakeholders.

Does this sound like you?

  • You leave lessons thinking “There was so much good language there… but I didn’t really capture it.”
  • You notice interesting learner output in the moment, but don’t always know what to do with it.
  • You want to go beyond correction… but time runs away and you default to what’s safe.
  • You feel like you’re carrying the load too much;  noticing, selecting, reformulating while learners stay a bit too passive.
  • You know emergent language matters… but it still feels slightly intangible, hard to pin down, hard to systematise.
  • You’d like to feel more confident in your decisions in the moment, not second-guessing them afterwards.

And beyond the classroom…

  • You want to feel more credible and confident as a professional, not just someone “getting through” lessons
  • You’re aware that in the current climate, standing out matters more than ever
  • You’d like to be able to justify charging more, but that requires a clearer sense of what you’re actually doing as a teacher
  • You feel that your instincts are often good… but not always easy to articulate or build on
  • And you’re starting to realise that spending hours preparing every detail isn’t always the answer — but you’d like a more sustainable, future-facing way of working that doesn’t rely on over-preparation to feel in control

How the course could help you

This course is designed for experienced, thoughtful English teachers who are ready to refine their craft, not reinvent it. If you:
Teach learners in responsive, authentic conversation & business lessons
Want to feel more confident and credible in how you teach
Are looking for time-saving tools and repeatable lesson flows
Want to show learners and clients the real value of what you do …

then the toolkit might just be what you are looking for.

      THE EMERGENT LANGUAGE TOOLKIT COURSE

The Emergent Language Toolkit grew out of my own classroom practice, teacher training and ongoing conversations with English language professionals who wanted a clearer, more practical way to work with the language that actually emerges in the classroom.
Alongside my work with learners, I run workshops for local training providers, professional teaching associations like BESIG & ELTAU and speak regularly at international conferences such as IATEFL. My talks focus primarily on creative tools and strategies which help teachers make more confident, in-the-moment decisions and build a more responsive, credible and sustainable teaching practice.

This course brings those strands together, making that process more visible, repeatable and more manageable and something you can confidently stand behind.
